Events and Gatherings

Through dynamic performances, educational workshops, multicultural festivals, and community-centered gatherings, Kuyayki Perú–Minnesota advances its mission of preserving and celebrating Peruvian cultural heritage while fostering meaningful intercultural connection. The organization creates accessible opportunities for audiences of all backgrounds to engage with the living traditions of Peru through music, dance, storytelling, and shared artistic experiences.

Kuyayki has organized impactful cultural events such as Puro Criollismo and the Perú Tradición y Encanto Gala, while also participating in major regional celebrations including the Festival of Nations, International Festival of Minnesota, AfroLatinidad, CLUES Fiesta Latina, LatinoFest Rochester, Latinx Fiesta in Dubuque, Iowa, and the Aquatennial Torchlight Parade in Minneapolis. Through these appearances, Kuyayki contributes to Minnesota’s vibrant cultural landscape by amplifying Latino and Indigenous artistic traditions and creating spaces where communities can gather, learn, and celebrate cultural diversity together.

The organization has also proudly represented Peruvian culture on broader national platforms, including the Specialty Coffee Expo in Chicago through the PROMPERÚ booth, highlighting the cultural and agricultural heritage of Huánuco and Peru’s internationally recognized coffee traditions.

Committed to arts accessibility and community engagement, Kuyayki brings authentic cultural programming directly into diverse spaces including preschools, K–12 schools, universities, places of worship, theaters, community fairs, and public events. Kuyayki believes that every gathering regardless of size is an opportunity to strengthen community bonds, inspire cultural understanding, and ensure that traditional artistic expressions continue to thrive for future generations.
